Slovak Interpreter and English-Slovak Translator
I am Vladimir Keves, an experienced and qualified English-Slovak interpreter and translator. I hold two diplomas in public service interpreting, one focused on English law and the other on health.
My experience covers not only legal and healthcare, but also business, commercial, industrial and technical translating. In each of these sectors, I offer a full range of translation and interpretation services, such as both simultaneous and consecutive interpretation, localisation, and certified document translation.
These services can be done in person or over the internet and telephone with remote interpretation.
Whatever your need, wherever it is, I am here to help.
“Vladimir has been instrumental in this matter from start to finish and has gone above and beyond for the client, the court and ourselves. He carries out requests in a timely manner and is an extremely helpful professional. Thank you very much for your assistance, and I will be sure to instruct you in the future!”
Tyller Leek-Doyle, Brendan Fleming Solicitors
“We have used Vladimir’s services for several cases; we keep using him because of his professionalism and dedication to his job. He has a wealth of experience in translating and interpreting work.
He is always very willing to assist clients and attends prison visits readily. What has impressed me recently, is his ability to add additional cultural information which provides essential context to cases.
He will do further research and provide details of experts in related areas to assist in cases. He develops a strong and easy rapport with clients who come to trust him which improves the instructions provided. We would have no hesitation in recommending him and look forward to working with him again.”

Why you need an English-Slovak interpreter
This may surprise you, but in Slovak ‘no’ means ‘yes’.
This puzzles many English speakers, but there is a simple explanation. In both Slovak and Czech ‘yes’ is ‘ano’. As it is often the case, people tend to shorten words to make them easier to pronounce. This is how ‘ano’ often loses ‘a’ and becomes ‘no’. A Slovakian telling you ‘no’ might be a good thing!
It is a coincidence that ‘no’ in English sounds like ‘yes’ in Slovak. However, this alone can sometimes unsettle an inexperienced communicator. A good interpreter will read between lines and interpret everything correctly and accurately. An experienced translator offers your business the peace of mind it needs – so let me help you today.
I highly recommend Vladimir. He provides prompt and reliable attention to requests for assistance, clear interpreting and translating and he goes beyond what is expected of him in assisting with contacting clients.

Slovak Interpreting Services
Face-to-face communication is vital for a successful business. I offer both simultaneous and consecutive interpretation and can adapt my services to your specific language needs.
The world is getting smaller. And faster. The internet is allowing people to take advantage of opportunities at the drop of a hat. Crises can be dealt with quickly. Even when people are not in the same country, there is still a need for interpretation. As people conduct business and live more of their lives online, it is crucial that you can access interpretation services wherever you are.
Slovak Remote (Video, Telephone) Interpreter
I offer my full suite of services remotely to allow you to work wherever you are. This includes simultaneous and consecutive interpretation, between groups of as small as two people. Technology allows you to work faster and better, and it helps me help you wherever you are.
English-Slovak Localisation Services
Reaching a new client base is hard enough without the added stress of translating your message into a different language. With my native skills in Slovak, I can make sure your business enters the market the right way. My localisation services make sure your business is talking to its customers in fluent, natural language, and covers things such as website copy and keyword optimisation.
Effective communication for positive outcomes
We all have experiences of people misinterpreting our words or getting the wrong end of the stick. And that’s in our mother tongue. Speaking across cultural and language barriers only heightens those risks. It can leave your message carrying less weight and you not getting what you wanted. But there are ways to avoid that.
I can help make any conversation flow naturally and help you avoid costly mistakes. Cultural misunderstanding can make people feel and sound strange and unprofessional. An experienced linguist who understands key differences can advise you in advance or inform you straight away if a situation like that comes up. It can help turn a potentially embarrassing moment into a pleasant one.
“Vladimir Keves is always punctual for appointments and most polite. I have no doubt that his interpretation skills are accurate. He is always willing to assist in whatever way he can in order to ensure translation appointments proceed smoothly. He is polite and courteous in dealing with my clients. I would not hesitate in recommending his interpreting services to others.”
