Punjabi (Pakistani & Indian) and Urdu Interpreter
I am an experienced Punjabi and Urdu interpreter. My role is to help you communicate easily. I offer impartial and reliable services, so you can focus on what’s being said, not how to say it. I have over 16 years’ experience as an Urdu interpreter. I specialise in court (Ministry of Justice) and police interpreting and work directly with solicitors. I also train and assess other interpreters.
I’m based in Northampton, offering both in-person and remote Punjabi and Urdu interpreting.
Let’s discuss what you need.
High-quality interpreting
It’s extremely important to interpret what is said faithfully, without adding or omitting information. You can be confident that I will deliver your message accurately and impartially.
“I found the quality and competence of Mrs Saeed’s professional service to be very high. She demonstrated impeccable good practice, was at all times polite, courteous and professional, as well as able to relay information quickly, concisely and – most importantly – accurately, as an interlocutor between my mother; her team of legal advocates, the presiding judge and other parties involved in the case.
I was particularly impressed with the genuine sensitivity that Mrs Saeed displayed during a very complex and emotional experience for my mother without becoming emotionally involved herself.
I have no doubt that Mrs Saeed’s quality of service enabled the legal proceedings to flow more efficiently and with full information between all parties at all times.”
Pav Akhtar, UNI Director for Professionals and Managers

- Mentoring/teaching
I work confidentially with both private and public sector organisations, including solicitors. My specialisms include law, health, local government, banking, and finance.
Public sector Punjabi and Urdu interpreting
I have completed more than 8000 consecutive and simultaneous interpreting assignments for public services. Much of my work takes place in courts and with police forces. However, I also have experience interpreting for health and safety departments, probation services, prisons, and the NHS.
Thanks to this extensive experience, I provide a confidential, reliable and impartial service for every client.
“I have been very impressed with Mrs Saeed’s skill as an interpreter; I have had other experiences with interpreters but I have recommended her to other professionals and colleagues which is something I haven’t done with any other interpreter I have worked with.”
Anita Olson, Community Mental Health Nurse BSh RMN
Remote Punjabi and Urdu interpreter
Remote services mean you can easily access Urdu and Punjabi interpreting wherever you are. It takes place over the phone or via video link at a time to suit you.
I regularly provide telephone interpreting In America and Canada. This is for both private and public-sector services, including Homeland Security. I enjoy this work and it has expanded my understanding of how interpreting works internationally.
Training and mentoring
I offer high-quality teaching and training. I have taught DPSI courses at Northampton University and assessed interpreters for several companies.
In addition, I am a fully trained and qualified mentor, working voluntarily with Pact to mentor young offenders and help them integrate back into society.
