Over my career, I have developed the communication, written and verbal to help you and your business expand and take advantage of new markets and audiences. In addition to European Portuguese, which is spoken in Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Sao Tome and Principe, Guinea-Bissau, East Timor and others; I can work with Brazilian Portuguese, allowing you to talk to and hear from over 200m people around the world.
“Mrs. Inês Dionísio Pimenta did a great job as interpreter, during the hot handover of HMS Ocean to Brazilian Navy. She has the ability of simultaneous translation from English into Portuguese, including naval and technical terms, which made easier to understand the drills and instructions provided by Royal Navy to the Brazilian Navy Ship’s Company. She also helped the Brazilian crew to translate some operational procedures, administrative orders and Job Information Cards, contributing with the transfer of knowledge between both crews. She is very calm, attentive and helpful person.”

English-Portuguese translation and interpreting services
As a professional English-Portuguese interpreter, I am bound by an ethical commitment to impartially and confidentiality. My reputation is built on my professionalism and versatility and I have clearance to work all over the world.
English-Portuguese medical translation
My translating career started in the field of mental health. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Universidade Lusófona in Portugal as well as another one from the Open University. The first was conducted in Portuguese while the second one was in English. This academic background means I can ensure that any medical translation you need will be done to the highest standard.
The ideal form of interpretation is a human presence.
Over the years I have expanded to offer English-Portuguese translation and interpretation in many different fields. Apart from mental health, I have worked in other medical fields, as well as with police forces, social services, the education sector along with private businesses.
Portuguese conference interpreter
Business conferences are a wonderful way to network, find new markets, learn new skills and expand your professional horizons. But they are not always accessible. Even if your customers are not English speakers, I can help make them feel welcome. This will help your business attract new leads from distant and untapped markets. Because of the intense nature, and often far-flung location, of conferences, notice will need to be given for this service.
English-Portuguese remote (telephone and video) interpreting services
The world moves quickly, and it is not always possible to meet face-to-face with someone. When a crisis needs to be managed or a decision reached quickly, but an unfamiliar language stands in the way of that, then I can help.
Certified translations (English-Portuguese translator)
As I am registered with the Chartered Institute of Linguists, you can be confident in my translations. In addition to certified document translation services, I also offer translation of non-official documents, such as internal company materials.
English-Portuguese subtitling
To help your business communicate with customers, I can subtitle your videos, write and translate text or chatbot messages, and even do broadcast work. This way your message will be heard by people in a language they understand and connect with.
Literary translation
Let your literature be read and understood with its depth of message coming across in different languages. To ensure that you get more than just a literal translation, I work with an English literature professor, an English-speaking native working at Exeter University.
