Legal Aid Interpreters are qualified legal interpreters who assist in cases where a provision of assistance called Legal Aid has been granted by the Legal Aid Agency to a person who would otherwise not be able to afford legal representation and access to justice.
Legal Aid (Expert) Rates were first introduced in 2013 by the Legal Aid Agency (LAA) and are set out in the Guidance on the Remuneration of Expert Witnesses.
