About me: French Interpreter, English-French Translator

I was born in Hull and my family moved to France when I was 18 months old, where I spent my formative years. Being raised in France has given me first-rate language skills and a native insight into local culture.

These are skills I use daily as both an English-French translator and French interpreter. I also frequently draw on my 15 years’ experience in higher education, where my work included health and social care and dealing with international visa regulations.

Continued professional development is very important to me, as are professional standards. I have published a book chapter about quality and standards in Public Service Interpreting, including how to maximise value.
